SOR Inc. announced its 1780 float operated WirelessHART® level switch that employs a buoyancy-based sensor that moves a magnet array when the liquid level goes up or down. This movement is sensed by a Hall Effect sensor within the wireless monitor to determine float position.
This creates a truly wireless solution with no wires required between the 1780 level switch and the position monitor. The 1780 WirelessHART level switch can provide both wireless position monitoring and local pneumatic control in one device.
The On/Off signaling is via HART wireless mesh network, and it is adaptable to any WirelessHART system regardless of vendor.
The 1780 WirelessHART level switch is ideal for applications in the oil & gas, chemical and wastewater industries. It is also available with an additional pneumatic relay output.
Common applications:
- Overfill protection
- High and low level alarm
