Water-Based Peelable Coating VpCI-372 E for Metal Protection

February 14, 2018

Cortec Water-Based Peelable Coating VpCI-372 E

Cortec introduced its VpCI-372 E water-based peelable coating that is easy to apply and remove for temporary protection of metal parts against rust and corrosion. It is a high-build/high-viscosity coating that provides protection in harsh and outdoor conditions.

This water-based peelable coating can be applied to metal surfaces by spraying, rolling, brushing, or dipping and is thick enough not to sag or run off the surface when applied. The coating dries to the touch in about 2 hours. It hardens into a thick covering that is UV resistant.

When the coated metal part is ready for use, the coating is simply peeled off and disposed of. The metal surface is left clean and corrosion free.

VpCI-372 E is a low VOC coating, according to ASTM D3960 (0.2 lbs/gal [24 g/L]). It can also be matched to some custom colors.
