iwis introduced its CF stainless steel roller chains, designed for the food industry and other applications requiring a high level of corrosion resistance.
These stainless steel roller chains demonstrated outstanding corrosion resistance and excellent fatigue strength during recent salt-spray tests. They also resist the effects of water or steam, stringent cleaning regimes, and extreme temperatures.
The plates of these stainless steel roller chains are formed from a high precision blanking process that helps increase service life and reduces elongation through higher press-out forces.
All rollers are seamless and impact-resistant at higher speeds. This ensures smooth, even chain operation. Seamless bushes reduce initial stretch and allow customized length tolerances, resulting in greater positioning accuracy and speed, especially in dynamic cyclic operation.
The CF stainless steel chains meet ISO 606 (DIN 8187) requirements. They can be used in temperature ranges from -80 to +150 °C. Various special-purpose lubricants are available to allow the chains’ use at high temperatures of up to 400 °C as well as low temperatures.
