The ExOne Company introduced its Exerial industrial 3D printing system for production rates beyond rapid prototyping and small batches. This industrial 3D printing system comprises multiple industrial stations that allow for continuous production and simultaneous processing.
It is equipped with two job boxes with a total build platform of 3,168 liters (130.5 ft3). The Exerial industrial 3D printing systems utilizes binder jetting technology, with each of the multiple print heads selectively dispensing micro-droplets of specially engineered binder into very thin layers of powdered material inside each of the two job boxes.
The Exerial industrial 3D printing system achieves speeds of over 180 cm3/hr (6 ft3/hr). The printing process creates high-precision cores in compliance with tolerances down to ± 0.012 in. (± 0.3 mm). The process is suitable for light metals, cast iron and steel, also non-ferrous metals.
